Rootilanti is a musical project that brings together five minds rooted in reggae
Reggae is more than a genre, it is a vision of nature, harmony, and freedom. These values shape Rootilanti’s sound, making it something that goes beyond boundaries and conventions.
Their music is a skank of genres, starting from reggae, flowing through dub, and blending with electronic and vaporwave influences.
It’s a natural mystic.
The exploration of sound, color, and genre creates a new and uncharted sonic landscape, the very core of this project.
Emerging from Kayamama, Rootilanti is formed by musicians who have developed a unique musical language through the fusion of their minds and instruments.
On drums, Marco Gnocchi, co-founder of Kayamama with Ashraff30, brings years of live experience into a new chapter alongside Eugenio Branca, whose keyboards and synths shape the melodies and themes of the tracks.
A strong roots influence flows through the guitars of Luca Berettini, channeling a deep connection to the upbeat rhythm and the human values it carries.
At the foundation of the sound stands Paolo Bogno, whose bass, resonating below 500 Hz, acts as the gravitational center of the band’s sonic identity.
The arrival of Simone Berrini marked a turning point, bringing fresh energy and creativity, opening the door to new ideas and artistic directions.
Independent artists collaborate with Rootilanti, interpreting lyrics over their instrumental landscapes.
Finally, the alchemist Luca “Xelius” Martegani shapes the sound with precision and vision, enhancing its depth and color during mixing and mastering at Niton Lab.
